Summer 2020 as lockdown eases, we hope this finds you all happy, well and life is getting back to a new normal.
This will be my 18th week shielding on the farm with mum & dad, where does the time go!
We have seen the re-opening of the hospitality and tourist sectors, touch wood so far, the new normal is working just fine. Our friends at Bayards Cove Inn are super busy and serving up great food 7 days a week give them a call and book a table, 01803 839278. Both the Anchorstone Dittisham (01803 722365 booking essential) and Anchorstone Dartmouth (take away only) are bustling again, I wonder if I will be allowed to visit either this summer? Will have to see what Matt Hancock has to say in his next letter to me! Simon is still super busy with deliveries, thank you everyone for your continued support. We have expanded our delivery area out to Salcombe on a Monday, any friends that way could you let them know. We have had a great take up from customers staying locally on holiday, again if you have a holiday let or have friends that do, get in touch and we can help with orders and flyers.

Hi, we’ve just had the salmon and dill meal and thoroughly enjoyed it and last night we had grilled halloumi which was equally as nice. Unfortunately, we’re returning home this weekend so won’t be able to enjoy any more of your delicious meals but will certainly leave a message for future occupants of our accommodation at Low Tides, Kingswear so they too can enjoy your meals. We have started to offer customers a more bespoke party food service now that “get together’s” are possible. Are you planning a little party or celebration? Give us a call and let us do the hard work for you, leaving you to enjoy your guests and not slaving over the stove all day.
On the farm front, all the Lambs are now weened. All but two of the bottle-fed lambs have gone to join main flocks, we have kept Beau and Fern and plan to let them grow old as pets, a living memento to 2020 lockdown and the covid crisis. We are harvesting carrots, courgettes, potatoes, tomatoes, runner beans and salad galore. Our little holiday let is back open and the new cleaning regime is rigorous!
