Looking ahead to Easter

I hope this finds you all happy and well. We are really looking forward to delivering our Mothers Day grazing boxes and feasts next week - last orders by Tuesday 9th March please.


Our thoughts now turn to Easter and further lifting of restrictions. We have just listed our Easter Feast @ Home with delivery on Friday 2nd April (Good Friday). Delivery will be available from Totnes to Kingsbridge along with everywhere in between. We have enjoyed such great feedback from all our feast deliveries with a firm favourite being a grazing starter. For the first time the starter (grazing selection), one of the main course options and dessert are all vegetarian. We hope this tickles your fancy and please let all your veggie friends know.


Easter Feast @ Home, minimum 2 covers, £32.50 per person.


To Start

Focaccia bread, baba ganoush, marinated feta cheese, sunshine olives and eygptian dukka for a dipping oil. (V)


Main Course

Rump of Devon lamb with slow cooked lamb tagine, courgette stuffed with, raisins, pine nuts, wild garlic, lemon & breadcrumbs, peperonata with red onion & basil, and saffron infused potatoes.

Stuffed portobello mushrooms with taleggio cheese sundried tomatoes and tarragon, courgette stuffed with bread crumbs, rasins, pine nuts, wild garlic & lemon, peperonata with red onion & basil, and saffron infused potatoes. (V)


Dessert

Treacle tart with ginger and pecans served with whipped double cream and vanilla. (V)




Our friends at The Coastal Kitchen have now confirmed Saturday 8th May for the Dartmouth Farmers Market. We will be there alongside old friends Jonathan & Suzie from Michael Suttons Cellars.


On the home front, lambing has started at a pace, Lola & Eliza were very excited with the arrival of healthy quads. I spent a very productive day in the garden last Saturday, hedge cutting and planting a new bed with perennials. We had lunch outside in the beautiful sunshine in only t-shirts, shame the weather has turned cooler now. We lit the wood fired oven on Sunday and cooked what else but lamb, we enjoyed it with greek salad, roast sweet potato, humous, grilled courgette and home made pitta bread, delicious. The girls are back to school on Tuesday with what I hope to be the end of any home schooling. Unfortunately this means they will be off home again leaving me with my parents on the farm, roll on April and my second jab.
