Hi All, hope this finds you happy and well.
Where do the weeks go? I have been rather slack not writing in April and now we find ourselves in May. So I looked back at the blog I wrote this time last year and lets say the weather was just a little different. As I start to write this the wind is blowing and the showers are heavy. I know we were spoilt last year, but I always consider May to be full of green trees and flowers.
The best news from me is I am double vaccinated and back in my own home with Sarah and the kids. It was over thirteen months I had spent with my folks on the farm - I was sad to say goodbye, but very glad to be back home.
On the flip side the sad news is Maggie, our long standing stalwart in the kitchen, has left us and moved all the way back to Scotland. Lots of you will know Maggie and Sid and understand the reasons for their moving. I will take this opportunity to say thank you again Magg's for all your help, back and front of house, we will miss you lots. A fantastic effort from Sid and team to host a fund-raising Ball for MND at Dartmouth Golf & Country Club on August 12th, tickets available via the pro-shop.
We are pressing forward here at DFF with a little re-branding - watch this space! A far better, and more usable website is being created as we speak, with launch planned for early summer. To coincide, there will also be an increased range of produce from other West Country producers - so you can have artisan produce delivered to your door every week.
As I have mentioned before, we are very much looking forward to hosting a stall at the Dartmouth Farmers Market this Saturday, 8th May. The weather looks a little hit & miss, but we will not let that dampen our spirits. We will have a small selection of frozen meals, cakes, desserts, sausage rolls, tarts & quiches, etc - Hope To See You There!
Keep safe and well, bon appetit Serin x
